Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 October 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of STUDEO HUB®, including the website, accounts, studio listings, bookings, events and related services. By creating an account or continuing to use the platform, you agree to them.
Throughout these Terms, “STUDEO”, “STUDEO HUB®”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to Andrea Loriente García, operating as a sole trader under the trade name STUDEO HUB®. Full business details are in the Legal Notice.
STUDEO's role: a marketplace, not the Studio operator
STUDEO HUB® is a technology marketplace.
We provide the digital infrastructure that allows Artists to discover and book Studios and allows Owners to make their spaces available when they are not otherwise being used.
Unless STUDEO expressly states otherwise for a specific service:
STUDEO does not own, lease, manage, operate or control the Studio or Room being booked.
For every Studio Booking:
- the Owner is the supplier of the Studio or Room service;
- the Artist is the customer of that underlying service;
- the contract for the use of the Studio or Room is entered into directly between the Artist and the Owner;
- STUDEO provides the marketplace, booking, payment-facilitation and related technology services that allow that transaction to take place.
The Owner, and not STUDEO, is responsible for performing the underlying Studio service.
The fact that a Booking is searched, requested, confirmed, paid, refunded, invoiced or otherwise managed using STUDEO does not make STUDEO the owner, landlord, operator or provider of the Studio.
STUDEO's role in facilitating payment also does not change the identity of the supplier of the underlying service.
Where Open Classes, Workshops, Masterclasses or Events are offered through STUDEO, the Organizer identified on the relevant Event page will normally be the supplier and organiser of that activity unless STUDEO expressly identifies itself as the supplier.
Who receives the Booking Price?
The Booking Price principally corresponds to the Studio service supplied by the Owner.
The Owner is therefore the economic recipient of the price of the underlying Studio Booking, subject to:
- STUDEO's marketplace fee;
- applicable refunds;
- cancellation adjustments;
- chargebacks;
- taxes;
- amounts legally due;
- other adjustments expressly provided for in these Terms.
For a standard completed Studio Booking, STUDEO charges a marketplace fee equal to 15% of the Relevant Booking Amount.
Where VAT applies to STUDEO's marketplace fee, the applicable VAT is already included within that 15%.
VAT is not added on top of the 15% STUDEO fee.
For example, where the Relevant Booking Amount is €100:
Owner economic share before card processing: €85
STUDEO marketplace fee: €15 total
subject to any applicable refund, cancellation adjustment, chargeback or other amount permitted under these Terms.
STUDEO earns its marketplace fee in consideration for providing services including:
- marketplace access;
- search and discovery;
- booking infrastructure;
- payment facilitation;
- availability management;
- transactional communications;
- review infrastructure;
- support;
- platform security;
- marketplace administration.
The remaining Booking proceeds are attributable to the Owner's underlying Studio service.
Where the payment infrastructure permits, payments may be processed directly in connection with the Owner's Stripe Connected Account and STUDEO's marketplace fee may be collected as an application or platform fee.
STUDEO's involvement in processing or facilitating the transaction does not make the gross Booking Price revenue of STUDEO and does not make STUDEO the supplier of the Studio rental.
Artists are not charged a separate STUDEO service fee on top of the price shown before confirming a booking. The price shown is the full amount payable for the reservation. Any taxes or additional charges, if applicable, are always shown clearly before payment.
Payouts to Owners
Eligible Owner proceeds are paid through STUDEO's payment infrastructure.
Bookings that end on the same day are grouped into one payout. STUDEO starts the transfer two days later, once the funds are available. Arrival at the Owner's bank can take several business days. A payout is sent only when:
- the Booking has been completed;
- the relevant funds are available;
- the Owner has successfully completed required payment and identity verification;
- no refund, dispute, chargeback, fraud investigation or legal restriction applies.
Actual receipt by the Owner may take longer because of Stripe, banking networks, weekends, public holidays, currency processing, compliance reviews or other circumstances outside STUDEO's direct control.
The fact that STUDEO facilitates or schedules a payout does not mean that STUDEO has supplied the underlying Studio service.
Stripe's card-processing fee is charged to the studio on the connected account. It is not added to the price an artist pays, and it is not part of STUDEO's marketplace fee.
Processing fees and payment services
The Studio bears Stripe's payment-processing fees and any additional costs applicable to its transactions under that provider's fees and terms. These may include costs relating to transfers, currency conversion, disputes or other payment services.
In the event of a refund, certain fees charged on the original payment may not be recoverable. Additional fees may also apply where provided for in Stripe's applicable terms.
These amounts are separate from STUDEO's fee. STUDEO does not set Stripe's fees or guarantee that they will remain unchanged. Where these costs are to be deducted from the Studio's payouts, they will be identified in the corresponding breakdown.
This clause does not exclude any responsibilities that STUDEO may have under applicable law.
The Studio is the Owner's responsibility
Owners are responsible for the Studios and Rooms they make available through STUDEO.
The Owner is responsible for ensuring that the Studio:
- exists and is available for the confirmed Booking;
- can legally be offered for the intended use;
- is reasonably safe for the activities it advertises;
- complies with applicable building, safety, accessibility and other legal requirements;
- has any licences, permits, registrations and insurance required by law;
- corresponds materially to its Listing;
- contains the facilities and equipment advertised;
- has appropriate access and security arrangements;
- complies with applicable occupancy and capacity limitations;
- is maintained appropriately;
- is delivered to the Artist for the agreed Booking period.
The Owner is also responsible for the conduct of its employees, contractors and representatives in connection with the Studio service.
STUDEO does not routinely inspect, supervise or control what happens inside a Studio.
Approval or publication of a Listing does not constitute a certification by STUDEO of:
- structural safety;
- legal compliance;
- professional standards;
- equipment safety;
- insurance coverage;
- suitability for a particular activity;
- accessibility;
- quality;
- cleanliness;
- security.
Owners remain responsible for those matters.
What happens inside a Studio
Once an Artist enters and uses a Studio, the underlying service is being provided by the Owner.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, STUDEO is not responsible for acts, omissions, accidents, incidents or circumstances arising from the operation or physical condition of a Studio that are legally attributable to the Owner, Organizer, Artist or another third party.
This may include, depending on the circumstances:
- accidents inside the Studio;
- slips, falls or physical injuries;
- unsafe premises;
- defective equipment;
- failure of equipment supplied by the Studio;
- damage to personal belongings;
- theft occurring at the premises;
- inadequate maintenance;
- unauthorised access;
- behaviour of Studio employees or representatives;
- behaviour of another participant;
- failure to comply with capacity restrictions;
- problems relating to access to the premises;
- failure of the Studio to provide an advertised facility;
- breaches of health and safety obligations;
- breaches of licensing or insurance requirements;
- other acts or omissions relating to the provision of the underlying Studio service.
Responsibility for such matters remains with the person or business legally responsible for them.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability of STUDEO that cannot legally be excluded, including liability arising directly from STUDEO's own fraud, wilful misconduct, negligence where liability cannot legally be limited, breach of mandatory consumer law, breach of data-protection law or another non-excludable legal obligation.
Artist responsibility while using a Studio
Artists must use Studios responsibly and comply with reasonable Studio rules disclosed before or during the Booking.
Artists are responsible for:
- their own conduct;
- complying with reasonable safety instructions;
- using equipment appropriately;
- avoiding deliberate or negligent damage;
- respecting agreed capacity limits;
- leaving the Studio in the condition reasonably required by the Owner;
- ensuring that their intended activity is compatible with the Booking and Listing;
- supervising anyone attending under their Booking where appropriate.
Artists remain responsible for deciding whether a particular activity is suitable for them.
Open Classes, Workshops and Events
Where STUDEO allows Open Classes, Workshops, Masterclasses or Events to be created or booked, responsibility for the activity belongs to the identified Organizer unless STUDEO expressly states that STUDEO itself is the Organizer.
The Organizer is responsible for matters including:
- instructors;
- qualifications where legally required;
- supervision;
- participant safety;
- venue suitability;
- Event capacity;
- licences and permits;
- insurance;
- safeguarding;
- music or intellectual-property licences;
- compliance with laws relating to minors;
- the content and delivery of the activity.
Publishing an Event on STUDEO does not mean that STUDEO organises, supervises, endorses or guarantees the Event.
STUDEO provides the infrastructure that enables the Organizer and participant to connect.
If the Owner cancels an Owner Open Class, each attendee who paid online is refunded the full ticket price. STUDEO's ticket fee on that sale is reversed. The Owner owes a separate cancellation penalty of 8% of gross ticket sales. That penalty is not deducted from the attendee refund, and it is not collected by keeping the ticket fee. A class cancelled under an earlier penalty keeps the amount recorded when it was cancelled. The full rules are in the Cancellation terms.
STUDEO's responsibility
STUDEO is responsible for its own marketplace service.
That includes operating and maintaining the STUDEO platform with reasonable professional diligence and complying with the legal obligations that apply directly to STUDEO.
STUDEO is not responsible for fulfilling obligations belonging to an Owner, Artist, Organizer, payment provider, bank, telecommunications provider or other independent third party.
Where there is a problem with:
- the Studio itself;
- access to the Studio;
- advertised Studio facilities;
- equipment;
- physical safety;
- the Owner's performance;
- an instructor;
- an Event;
the relevant Owner or Organizer will normally be responsible for the underlying service.
STUDEO may nevertheless assist the parties, investigate reports, facilitate communication, process an appropriate refund or take marketplace action where permitted by these Terms.
Providing that assistance does not transfer legal responsibility for the underlying service to STUDEO.
Platform availability and technical incidents
STUDEO depends on technology.
That includes both systems operated by STUDEO and specialised third-party infrastructure and technology providers used to deliver parts of the service.
From time to time, the platform may experience:
- software errors;
- temporary outages;
- database incidents;
- payment-provider interruptions;
- hosting incidents;
- email or notification failures;
- network failures;
- maintenance;
- third-party infrastructure failures;
- cybersecurity incidents;
- other technical problems.
If STUDEO becomes aware of a material technical incident affecting core platform functionality, STUDEO will promptly investigate the incident and, where necessary, escalate it to STUDEO's specialised technology providers.
STUDEO will use commercially reasonable efforts to restore the affected core functionality within 24 hours after becoming aware of the incident.
This 24-hour period is a service-response and remediation target, not an absolute guarantee that every technical issue can be fully resolved within 24 hours.
Some incidents may reasonably require longer because they depend on:
- Stripe or another payment provider;
- hosting or database providers;
- banking systems;
- telecommunications networks;
- cybersecurity investigations;
- external APIs;
- third-party software;
- regulatory requirements;
- circumstances outside STUDEO's reasonable control.
Where an incident cannot reasonably be resolved within 24 hours, STUDEO will continue to use commercially reasonable efforts to resolve it and, where appropriate, provide affected users with relevant information.
Nothing in this section limits statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Technical errors affecting a Booking or payment
If a verified STUDEO technical error causes a Booking or payment record to be incorrect, STUDEO may take reasonable corrective action.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- correcting Booking status;
- restoring availability;
- cancelling an erroneous duplicate Booking;
- correcting an incorrect payment state;
- arranging an appropriate refund;
- correcting an erroneous notification;
- working with Stripe or another specialist provider to reconcile the transaction.
STUDEO will not intentionally retain money to which it is not entitled because of a verified platform error.
However, STUDEO is not responsible for delays caused exclusively by the Artist's bank, Owner's bank, Stripe or another independent provider beyond the extent required by applicable law.
Third-party technology providers
To operate the marketplace, STUDEO uses specialised technology providers.
These may include services providing:
- payment infrastructure;
- hosting;
- databases;
- authentication;
- email;
- notifications;
- security;
- monitoring;
- other technical infrastructure.
These providers operate independent infrastructure that STUDEO does not fully control.
STUDEO selects and manages its providers with reasonable care but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation of third-party systems.
A temporary outage or failure of an independent provider does not automatically constitute a breach by STUDEO where STUDEO has acted with the level of care required by applicable law and has taken reasonable steps to investigate, mitigate and resolve the issue.
No guarantee of uninterrupted service
STUDEO aims to be there when you need a space.
But no online platform can reasonably promise that technology will never fail.
STUDEO does not guarantee that the platform will always be:
- completely uninterrupted;
- error-free;
- available on every device;
- compatible with every browser;
- immune from third-party failures.
We may also temporarily interrupt or restrict functionality for:
- maintenance;
- updates;
- security;
- fraud prevention;
- infrastructure changes;
- legal or regulatory reasons.
Where reasonably possible, we will minimise disruption.
Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide accurate account details and keep your login safe. You are responsible for activity under your account. One STUDEO HUB® account can be used as an Artist and, where enabled, as a Studio Owner.
You may not misuse the platform, interfere with other users' bookings, post misleading listings, or use a studio for a purpose other than the one you booked. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms or puts other users at risk.
When a booking can start
A booking cannot start sooner than the minimum notice for that kind of booking.
An instant booking must start at least 2 hours after it is made. The artist pays when they book, and the booking is confirmed then.
A booking request must start at least 6 hours after it is sent. The studio confirms the request before the booking is final. Open Class and Workshop bookings are always requests, so they follow the same 6-hour notice.
STUDEO will not complete a booking whose start time falls inside that notice.
Cancellation
Cancellations and refunds are governed by the Cancellation terms.
Cancel 48 hours or more before your booking for a full refund.
24 to 48 hours before is a 75% refund. 12 to 24 hours before is a 50% refund. Less than 12 hours before is not refundable.
If the studio cancels a confirmed booking before it starts, the artist receives a full refund. Studio cancellation charges, Open Class cancellations, processing fees and refund timing are set out in the Cancellation terms. The policy attached to a booking when it was made is the policy that applies to that booking. The same room-booking rules are shown again on each listing before you confirm a reservation.
Mandatory rights always come first
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any responsibility or right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Spanish or European Union law.
In particular, these Terms do not exclude STUDEO's responsibility for its own obligations as a digital marketplace and information-society service provider.
The allocation of responsibilities in these Terms is intended to make clear which party provides which service:
Owner → provides the Studio or Room.
Organizer → provides the Open Class, Workshop or Event.
Artist → purchases or uses the underlying service.
STUDEO → provides the marketplace and technology connecting them.
That's the model.
