Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 September 2026
Privacy policies have a reputation for being impossible to read. We'd rather not add another one to the list.
So here's ours, in plain language.
STUDEO HUB® connects people who need space to move, rehearse, create or teach with studios that have space to share. We may also help our community discover and create open classes, workshops, masterclasses and other movement-related events.
To make all of that work, we need to process some personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we need it, who we may share it with, how long we keep it and what choices you have.
Throughout this policy, “STUDEO”, “STUDEO HUB®”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to:
Andrea Loriente García, operating as a sole trader under the trade name STUDEO HUB®
Tax ID / NIF: 48032531K
Business address: Carrer de la Indústria, 303, 08041 Barcelona, Spain
Website: studeohub.com
Email: [email protected]
If STUDEO later operates through a company rather than as a sole trader, these details will be updated.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
For data-protection purposes, STUDEO HUB® is the data controller for the personal information processed to operate STUDEO.
In simple terms: we decide why and how your information is used when you use STUDEO.
We process information to do things such as:
- create and manage your account;
- help you find Studios and Rooms;
- publish Studio listings;
- check availability;
- manage bookings;
- process payments and payouts;
- manage cancellations and refunds;
- generate and manage invoices;
- operate reviews;
- create and discover Events;
- send useful booking and account notifications;
- help when something goes wrong;
- prevent fraud and misuse;
- comply with tax, accounting and legal obligations;
- keep STUDEO secure;
- improve the platform.
Sometimes another company or user will also be independently responsible for some of your information.
For example, when you book a Studio, that Studio may need some information about you to provide your booking.
Stripe also processes information in connection with payments, payouts and identity verification and may act as a processor or independent data controller depending on the particular service.
2. What information do we collect?
It depends on what you do on STUDEO.
We don't want to collect information just because we can. We collect what we reasonably need to make the platform work, keep it safe and meet our legal obligations.
Your STUDEO account
When you create or manage an account, we may collect:
- first and last name;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- profile photo;
- city or location;
- preferred language;
- account or portal type;
- authentication information;
- profile information you choose to add;
- professional or artistic information;
- websites or social profiles you choose to share;
- preferences and account settings.
You may use STUDEO as an Artist, an Owner, or potentially both.
3. If you're an Artist
STUDEO exists so you can spend less time chasing spaces and more time actually creating.
When you search for or book a space, we may process information including:
- your profile;
- searches;
- Studios and Rooms you view;
- favourites;
- booking requests;
- confirmed bookings;
- cancelled bookings;
- booking dates and times;
- what you're using the space for, if you tell us;
- payments;
- refunds;
- Events;
- reviews;
- reports;
- support requests;
- communications relating to bookings;
- notifications.
When you book or request a Studio, we may share the information that Studio reasonably needs to manage your booking.
We don't give Studios access to unrelated information about you just because you booked a room with them.
4. If you're a Studio Owner
Empty Studio hours can become someone else's rehearsal, class, audition tape or next project.
To make that connection work — and to pay you correctly — we need some additional information from Studio Owners.
This may include:
- full legal name;
- business or trading name;
- legal entity type;
- business address;
- Studio address;
- billing address;
- email address;
- billing email;
- telephone number;
- identity of the owner or authorised representative;
- company registration information;
- NIF, NIE or other tax identification number;
- VAT identification number, where applicable;
- tax residence information where required;
- professional or trader status;
- payout information;
- Stripe Connected Account information;
- account verification information;
- identity or business verification documents where necessary;
- limited bank information made available through our payment provider;
- Studio and Room listings;
- availability;
- pricing;
- photographs;
- amenities;
- booking settings;
- cancellation settings;
- booking history;
- earnings;
- payouts;
- refunds;
- cancellation compensation or charges;
- reviews;
- reports;
- disputes;
- Events created through STUDEO.
Where the law requires us to verify business, identity or tax information, we may check that information against official or reliable sources.
5. Bookings
When you make or receive a booking, we may process information such as:
- Artist;
- Studio;
- Room;
- booking date;
- start and end time;
- duration;
- booking purpose where provided;
- booking amount;
- currency;
- STUDEO marketplace fee;
- applicable taxes;
- booking status;
- payment status;
- payment-provider identifiers;
- refunds;
- cancellations;
- cancellation compensation or charges;
- cancellation reason where provided;
- reports or issues related to the booking.
Booking several dates at once
You may be able to select several dates or sessions together.
Behind the scenes, STUDEO may treat each session as its own booking.
Why?
Because life happens.
One session may go ahead while another is cancelled. One may need a refund. Another may receive a review or have an issue reported.
Keeping them separate means each booking can be independently:
- confirmed or declined;
- viewed;
- cancelled;
- refunded;
- invoiced;
- reviewed;
- reported;
- managed through emails and notifications.
6. Billing, tax and invoicing
Not the most exciting part of creating — but an important one.
To create, issue, receive, display and store invoices and other billing documents, we may process:
- full legal name;
- company or business name;
- billing address;
- country;
- NIF, NIE or equivalent tax identification number;
- VAT ID / NIF-IVA where applicable;
- legal entity type;
- company registration information where applicable;
- billing email;
- booking or transaction details;
- amounts paid or received;
- refunds;
- commissions;
- applicable taxes;
- VAT treatment;
- STUDEO marketplace fees;
- invoice number;
- invoice date;
- other legally required invoice information.
We use this information to:
- generate invoices and billing documents;
- help Studios document bookings made through STUDEO;
- document STUDEO's marketplace fees;
- let users access their invoices;
- process refunds and corrections;
- maintain accounting records;
- comply with VAT requirements;
- comply with invoicing requirements;
- comply with electronic invoicing requirements;
- comply with tax and accounting law.
Who invoices whom?
STUDEO is a marketplace.
Depending on the transaction, the Studio is the supplier of the Studio rental or space-related service and may therefore be responsible for issuing the relevant invoice to the Artist or customer.
STUDEO provides a separate marketplace service and may issue the corresponding invoice or billing documentation for the fees charged by STUDEO.
STUDEO may technically generate certain documents on behalf of a Studio where this functionality is available.
That doesn't automatically make STUDEO the supplier of the underlying Studio rental.
We keep the information used on an invoice
An invoice is a historical record.
For that reason, when an invoice is generated we may save a snapshot of the billing and tax details used for that particular transaction.
If you later change your address, company name or tax number in STUDEO, previously issued invoices won't simply rewrite themselves.
That would make accounting considerably less fun than it already is.
7. NIF, VAT ID and intracommunity transactions
A Spanish individual operating as a sole trader uses their personal NIF as their tax identification number.
STUDEO may also process a VAT identification number / NIF-IVA where it is relevant to an Artist, Studio, supplier or transaction.
For Spanish businesses or sole traders carrying out certain business-to-business transactions within the European Union, this may involve registration in Spain's Registro de Operadores Intracomunitarios (ROI).
Where applicable, the VAT identification number may be used to:
- validate the tax status of a business;
- determine the appropriate VAT treatment;
- document intracommunity transactions;
- issue compliant invoices;
- satisfy tax and accounting obligations.
VAT identification numbers may also be checked through official systems such as the EU VAT Information Exchange System (VIES) where appropriate.
STUDEO only uses this information where it is relevant to the transaction or required by law.
8. Payments and payouts
We use Stripe Connect to power payments and payouts on STUDEO.
Depending on what you're doing, Stripe may process:
- card information;
- bank-account information;
- billing details;
- identity information;
- business details;
- tax information;
- verification documents;
- transaction data;
- fraud-prevention information.
STUDEO does not need to store your complete card number to process your booking.
Your payment information can instead be provided directly to Stripe.
STUDEO may receive information such as:
- whether a payment succeeded;
- amount paid;
- currency;
- refund status;
- payment or charge ID;
- Stripe account ID;
- payout status;
- limited payment-method information;
- verification status;
- relevant fraud or risk signals.
If you're a Studio Owner, Stripe may also need identity, business, tax and banking information to create and maintain your Connected Account and send payouts.
Stripe may act as a processor or as an independent data controller depending on the particular activity.
9. Tax and regulatory reporting
Running a marketplace comes with some less-visible responsibilities.
Sometimes the law requires STUDEO to collect, verify, retain or report information about people or businesses earning money through the platform.
That may include:
- legal name;
- date of birth where legally required;
- address;
- tax residence;
- tax identification number;
- VAT number;
- company registration number;
- financial-account information;
- amount earned through STUDEO;
- commissions or fees;
- number of transactions;
- Studio address;
- other information required by tax authorities.
This may include obligations under DAC7 and the Spanish legislation implementing EU platform-reporting rules.
Where STUDEO is legally required to report information, we may provide the relevant information to the Spanish Tax Agency or another competent authority.
Tax authorities may subsequently exchange that information with authorities in other countries where the law requires it.
We don't report information because we're curious about your taxes.
We do it where the law requires us to.
10. Reviews
Reviews help people know what to expect before they walk into a space.
After an eligible booking, STUDEO may allow Artists and Studio Owners to leave feedback.
This may include:
- rating;
- written comments;
- reviewer identity or profile information;
- booking reference;
- date submitted.
Reviews about Studios may be displayed publicly alongside Studio or Room listings.
Feedback about Artists may be visible only to authorised Studio Owners or other users entitled to access it.
If something is public, remember that other people can see it.
Please don't put private, sensitive or unnecessary personal information about someone else in a review.
11. Events
Studios aren't only rooms. They're where things happen.
STUDEO may allow people to discover or create:
- open classes;
- workshops;
- masterclasses;
- training sessions;
- dance events;
- movement-related events;
- other community activities.
If you create an Event, we may process:
- organiser name;
- title;
- description;
- photos or media;
- date and time;
- location;
- associated Studio;
- category;
- participation information;
- external links;
- contact information you choose to publish.
Depending on your settings, your Event may be:
- private;
- shared via a link;
- publicly discoverable through STUDEO.
If you choose to publish information publicly, other STUDEO users — and potentially people visiting the website — may see it.
12. When something goes wrong
Sometimes a booking doesn't go as planned.
If you contact STUDEO, report an issue or open a dispute, we may process:
- your identity;
- contact details;
- booking reference;
- issue category;
- description of what happened;
- communications with STUDEO;
- relevant communications between the parties;
- photos;
- screenshots;
- documents;
- evidence you provide;
- information about how the matter was resolved.
We use this information to:
- understand what happened;
- investigate reports;
- communicate with the people involved;
- resolve disputes;
- prevent abuse;
- protect our community;
- enforce STUDEO's Terms;
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Please don't send us sensitive personal information unless it's genuinely necessary to solve the problem.
13. Notifications and emails
Some messages are part of making STUDEO actually work.
We may send you notifications or emails about:
- your account;
- booking requests;
- confirmed bookings;
- declined bookings;
- booking changes;
- cancellations;
- refunds;
- payments;
- payouts;
- Studio approval;
- listing status;
- review invitations;
- review reminders;
- new reviews;
- Events;
- reports;
- new messages about a booking;
- invoices;
- security;
- important changes to STUDEO or our Terms.
These are usually service communications, not marketing.
Messages between an artist and a studio are scanned on STUDEO's servers for contact details and attempts to arrange bookings or payments outside STUDEO. A blocked message is not stored. The check is a fixed set of rules, not a person reading every message and not an outside moderation service.
If you're both an Artist and an Owner, STUDEO may keep notifications separated between your Artist and Owner portals so the right information appears in the right place.
Notifications may generally remain visible in your STUDEO notification centre for around 90 days.
The booking, invoice, payment or other record behind that notification may be retained for longer.
14. Marketing
We'd rather send you something worth opening than fill your inbox.
With your consent, or where the law otherwise allows it, we may send information about:
- STUDEO features;
- new cities;
- Studios;
- Events;
- community projects;
- relevant offers;
- product news.
You can unsubscribe from marketing whenever you want.
Unsubscribing from marketing doesn't switch off the emails we genuinely need to send about things such as:
- bookings;
- payments;
- refunds;
- payouts;
- invoices;
- account security.
15. Technical information
Like most online platforms, STUDEO processes some technical information when you use it.
This may include:
- IP address;
- browser;
- device type;
- operating system;
- session information;
- pages or screens viewed;
- access date and time;
- referring page;
- diagnostic data;
- errors;
- security logs;
- cookie identifiers where applicable.
We use this information to:
- keep STUDEO running;
- protect the platform;
- prevent abuse;
- find bugs;
- improve reliability;
- understand performance;
- improve the experience.
16. Location
Finding the right space is pretty difficult if we don't know where you're looking.
We may therefore process location information you actively give us, such as:
- your city;
- the city you're searching in;
- a Studio address;
- an Event location.
If STUDEO introduces functionality such as “spaces near me” that requires access to your device location, we'll ask for the relevant permission where required.
STUDEO doesn't need to continuously track where you are in the background for the marketplace to work.
17. Cookies
Yes, cookies.
But only the digital kind.
Some cookies and similar technologies are necessary to make STUDEO work properly, for example:
- keeping you logged in;
- authentication;
- security;
- remembering essential settings;
- bookings;
- checkout.
Where permitted by law, strictly necessary cookies don't require your consent.
For non-essential technologies such as certain:
- analytics;
- advertising;
- personalisation;
- tracking technologies;
we'll ask for consent where the law requires it.
Where consent is required, you should be able to accept, reject or manage your choices.
More detail is available in our separate Cookie Policy.
18. Why are we allowed to use your information?
GDPR requires us to have a legal reason — called a lawful basis — for processing personal information.
Depending on what we're doing, we rely on one of the following.
To provide STUDEO to you
We process information when it's necessary to perform our contract with you.
For example, to:
- create your account;
- publish a Studio;
- search availability;
- book a Room;
- process a booking request;
- take payment;
- send a payout;
- cancel a booking;
- provide a refund;
- generate invoices;
- operate reviews;
- create Events;
- provide support.
Because the law requires it
Sometimes we need to process information to comply with legal obligations relating to things such as:
- tax;
- VAT;
- accounting;
- invoicing;
- DAC7;
- platform reporting;
- identity or trader verification;
- regulatory requirements;
- court orders;
- requests from competent authorities.
Because STUDEO has a legitimate reason
We may rely on our legitimate interests to:
- keep STUDEO secure;
- prevent fraud;
- stop platform abuse;
- investigate disputes;
- enforce our Terms;
- maintain reliable transactional records;
- protect our users;
- improve the platform;
- understand technical performance;
- defend legal claims.
Whenever we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the impact on your rights and freedoms.
Because you said yes
For certain things, we ask for your consent.
For example:
- some marketing;
- non-essential cookies;
- certain analytics;
- certain advertising or tracking technologies.
You can change your mind and withdraw consent at any time.
19. What information do you have to give us?
Not every field on STUDEO is compulsory.
But some information is necessary if you want us to provide a particular service.
For example, we may not be able to:
- create an account without basic account details;
- make a booking without booking information;
- process a payment without payment information;
- pay a Studio without payout and verification information;
- approve a Studio without legally required seller information;
- generate a valid invoice without the information that invoice legally requires.
If the information is legally required or necessary to provide the service and you don't provide it, we may not be able to complete that part of STUDEO for you.
20. Who do we share information with?
STUDEO works because different pieces need to connect.
But connecting the platform doesn't mean sharing everything with everyone.
Artists and Studios
We may share the information reasonably necessary between Artists and Studios to manage:
- booking requests;
- confirmed bookings;
- the booked service;
- cancellations;
- disputes;
- reviews;
- safety issues.
Public Studio profiles, Rooms, Events and public reviews may naturally be visible to other users or visitors.
Stripe
We use Stripe for things such as:
- payments;
- Connected Accounts;
- verification;
- refunds;
- payouts;
- fraud prevention;
- financial compliance.
Technology partners
We use technology companies to make STUDEO run.
These may include:
- Supabase — database, authentication and backend infrastructure;
- Vercel — hosting and application infrastructure;
- Stripe — payments and financial infrastructure;
- providers used for transactional email and notifications;
- security and monitoring providers.
Where a provider processes personal information on our behalf, we require appropriate data-protection safeguards.
Professional advisers
Where needed, we may share relevant information with:
- accountants;
- tax advisers;
- lawyers;
- auditors;
- insurers.
Authorities
Where the law requires it, information may be provided to:
- tax authorities;
- courts;
- regulators;
- law enforcement;
- other competent authorities.
If STUDEO changes
If STUDEO is involved in an investment, financing, acquisition, merger, restructuring or sale, relevant information may be shared with advisers, investors or counterparties subject to appropriate confidentiality and privacy protections.
21. We don't sell your personal data
Simple.
STUDEO does not sell your personal information to data brokers or unrelated third parties.
Studios may eventually be able to pay for extra visibility or sponsored placement inside STUDEO.
Paying for visibility does not give a Studio access to the personal information of people who saw its promotion.
If we ever introduce personalised advertising involving tracking or profiling, we'll provide the information and choices required by law.
22. International data transfers
Dance is global. Technology is too.
Some companies helping us operate STUDEO may process information outside Spain or the European Economic Area.
Where European data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use recognised mechanisms such as:
- European Commission adequacy decisions;
- Standard Contractual Clauses;
- another legally valid transfer mechanism.
Additional safeguards may also be used where appropriate.
You can contact us if you'd like more information about the safeguards applying to your data.
23. How long do we keep your information?
Not forever.
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the reason we collected it and for any additional period required by law.
Different information therefore has different timelines.
Account information
Generally while your account is active, plus a reasonable period where necessary for security, legal or fraud-prevention purposes.
Bookings
Booking records may be kept where necessary for transaction history, disputes, accounting, tax or legal obligations.
Payments, invoices and accounting
Information required for accounting, invoicing, commercial or tax purposes may be kept for the legally required retention period.
Certain business records in Spain may need to be retained for six years, without prejudice to longer periods required by other laws.
Tax and DAC7 information
Kept for the period required by applicable tax and platform-reporting legislation.
Reviews
Reviews may remain associated with the relevant activity while useful to the marketplace, subject to STUDEO's policies, applicable law and data-protection rights.
Reports and disputes
Information may be retained while we investigate a problem and afterwards where needed for fraud prevention, enforcement or legal claims.
Notifications
Notifications may generally remain visible in your STUDEO inbox for around 90 days.
The activity behind them may need to remain in STUDEO for longer.
Security information
Security and technical logs are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention and system integrity.
When we no longer need identifiable personal information, we'll delete or anonymise it unless the law requires us to keep it.
24. Deleting your account
You can ask us to delete your STUDEO account.
But deleting an account isn't always the same thing as instantly deleting every record connected to it.
We may still need to keep information to:
- comply with tax law;
- maintain accounting records;
- preserve invoices;
- comply with regulatory requirements;
- complete payments or refunds;
- complete payouts;
- investigate fraud;
- resolve disputes;
- enforce agreements;
- establish or defend legal claims.
Where possible and appropriate, information may be anonymised instead.
25. Your privacy rights
If GDPR applies to you, you may have the right to:
Access your information
Ask what personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy.
Correct it
Ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
Delete it
Ask us to delete information where the legal conditions for deletion apply.
Restrict its use
Ask us to limit certain processing in circumstances provided by law.
Object
Object to certain processing based on legitimate interests.
You can object to direct marketing at any time.
Take your data with you
Where applicable, you may receive certain information you've provided to STUDEO in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
Withdraw consent
If we're relying on your consent, you can withdraw it.
Automated decisions
Where applicable, you have rights relating to certain decisions made solely through automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
To exercise your rights, email:
Just let us know that your message is about privacy or data protection.
We may need to confirm your identity before completing a request.
26. Search, ranking and recommendations
When you search STUDEO, we want the useful spaces to appear before the completely irrelevant ones.
STUDEO may therefore use automated systems to support:
- search results;
- availability;
- recommendations;
- fraud detection;
- security;
- moderation;
- listing ranking.
Search and ranking may consider things such as:
- location;
- availability;
- requested date and time;
- Room characteristics;
- filters;
- price;
- listing relevance;
- information provided in the listing.
STUDEO may also display promoted Studios or Rooms.
Where required by law, promoted placements will be clearly identifiable.
We do not currently intend to use solely automated decision-making to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on users without the safeguards required by law.
27. Sensitive information
STUDEO isn't designed to collect information about things such as:
- racial or ethnic origin;
- political opinions;
- religion;
- philosophical beliefs;
- trade-union membership;
- genetic data;
- biometric identification data;
- health;
- sex life;
- sexual orientation.
Please don't put this kind of information into profiles, reviews, booking notes or reports unless it is genuinely necessary and STUDEO specifically asks for it.
If we ever introduce a feature requiring this kind of information, we'll apply the additional protections required by law.
28. Minors
STUDEO accounts and booking functionality are intended for people aged 18 or over.
We don't knowingly allow children to independently enter into bookings or payment transactions through STUDEO.
That doesn't mean a person under 18 can never dance, train or take part in an activity organised through a Studio.
It simply means the person holding the STUDEO account and entering into the relevant transaction must meet our age and contractual requirements.
If you think a minor has created an account contrary to our Terms, contact:
29. Security
Your information deserves proper protection.
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against:
- unauthorised access;
- disclosure;
- alteration;
- accidental loss;
- destruction;
- misuse.
These measures may include:
- authentication;
- access controls;
- database protections;
- encryption where appropriate;
- monitoring;
- backups;
- logging;
- contractual protections with our providers.
No online system can promise absolute security.
If a personal-data breach occurs, we'll assess it and notify the competent authority and affected users where the law requires us to.
30. Fraud and platform misuse
A marketplace only works if people can trust it.
We may process account, booking, payment, device and technical information to detect or prevent things such as:
- fraudulent bookings;
- payment abuse;
- account takeover;
- fake accounts;
- platform misuse;
- attempts to circumvent STUDEO rules;
- attacks on our systems;
- behaviour that could harm STUDEO or its community.
Where appropriate, an account or transaction may be temporarily restricted while we investigate an issue in accordance with our Terms and applicable law.
31. Third-party services
STUDEO may connect you to third-party services such as:
- Stripe;
- maps;
- social networks;
- external websites;
- Event pages;
- other digital services.
Once you choose to interact directly with another service, its own privacy policy may apply to what it does with your information.
32. If this policy changes
STUDEO is going to evolve.
New cities. New features. New ways for the community to connect.
This Privacy Policy may therefore change when:
- we introduce new functionality;
- our data practices change;
- providers change;
- STUDEO enters new countries;
- the law changes.
We'll keep the date at the top updated.
If a change significantly affects how we use your information, we'll provide any additional notice required by law.
33. Questions or complaints
If something about your data doesn't feel clear, ask us.
You can contact:
Please tell us your request is about privacy or data protection.
You also have the right to complain to a competent data-protection authority.
Because STUDEO is currently established in Spain, the relevant authority will generally be:
Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD)
C/ Jorge Juan, 6
28001 Madrid
Spain
Depending on where you live or work, you may also have the right to contact another EU or EEA supervisory authority.
